Living and Non Living

Howdy Parents,

In science we are now studying living and non living things. Living things:
1. move

2.grow

3.eat

4. reproduce

Non living things:

1. don't need anything

2.don't eat

3. don't move or grow

4. don't reproduce

Learning about living and non living things are in our TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), so we must learn about them. Students should be able to group living and non living objects.

Here are some great activities and games to work on with your child.

At BBC discover what is living and non living in the country side. Click on the "Where" to play the contry side activity. Use your mouse to find an item and read to see why it is living or non living. Fun!

At the Sea Shore there are many living objects. Click on the "Where" to play the sea side activity. Move your arrow over them to discover what is all living at the sea shore. You'll like this.

Use the Riddle to discover what object they are talking about. click on the "What" to hear the riddle. Then you decided if it is living or non living. Great fun.
